Jack is Home!

Update From Jack

Here a quick recap on everything that going on for those of you whom we haven't been able to talk to. Beth had a C-Section on Friday morning. Jack was born at 10:48 and weighed in at 7 pounds 7 ounces. He's so adorable! Tons of hair! Beth is doing well, a little sore, but nothing some meds can't help with. Jack has been having some issues with keeping his blood sugar levels where they should be so he has been staying in the NICU with an IV to help him with his sugar levels. Things seem to be going well, but they just want to monitor him and slowly ween him off of the IV and hopefully he will cooperate. Everyone at the hospital has been so helpful and great to us. Having him in the NICU has allowed us to get at least a little more sleep. It looks like Beth and i will be coming home tomorrow. Hopefully Jack won't be too far behind!!! Thank you everyone for your love and support. Jack can't wait to meet all of you!

Our First Baby

Our first baby Tugger (our pug) is not going to know what has happened when Baby Somers arrives. Thought I would put some pics of him on here....he is going to be such a big brother:)

Week 39....the countdown is on!!!!

This week we had our 39 week appointment. Things seem to still be going well. If Baby Somers decides he wants to hang out a little longer, the doctor said the latest they would let me go is a week over my due date.

Week 37

It's hard to believe that we have less than a month to go. All of our doctors appointments have been going well, and now we go every week. We will keep you updated if anything changes. The nursery is finally complete so we thought it would be nice to add some recent pictures.




















The theme for Baby Somers room is "Aloha Baby". Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Dames for the crib bedding!











Grandma and Grandpa Somers and Dames have been so generous in creating a beautiful nursery for Baby Somers. Here is a picture of our crib.

You can tell that Baby Somers mom is a teacher:) He already has a small library of books started. He is already being read to on a regular basis and we all know he will be read to all the time!
