The Holidays
This year we hosted Christmas. We were fortunate to have Pete and Gerrie visit from California and Adam's family visit from Hawaii, Boston, and New Mexico. We had our traditional Polish Christmas Eve dinner and on Christmas a wonderful Prime Rib. The best gift this year was having Jack as a new addition to our family.

Jack is changing each day. He is starting to "track" objects and people with his eyes. At his doctor's appointment last week we were told he is now 10 pounds 3 ounces. We are starting to take him out of the house a bit more, we even managed to go out to dinner...he slept the whole time. The best news of all, the past three nights he has slept at least 8 hours...Merry Christmas to us:)

Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! This week the weather has finally cooled off a bit and actually rained. Beth got the ok to drive so she has been trying to get out a bit this week. The first place she went was to get a well deserved pedicure. We have so much to be thankful for this year. It has been a year filled with ups and downs. We are most thankful for Beth having a healthy pregnancy, for Beth's dads quick recovery from open heart surgery over the summer, and most importantly for the arrival of Jack. We feel so blessed to be able to spend this Thanksgiving in Arizona with Pete and Gerrie. We hope that everyone has a wonderful day with family and friends!!!!

Jack Week #2
Our days have been filled with joy. It is amazing what a child does to your life. Jack had a follow up at the doctor and he is doing great! His blood sugar levels are normal so we don't need to monitor that anymore. He is up to 8 pounds, which means Mom and Dad don't need to wake him every 3 hours to eat at night. He sleeps for about 4 hours before he wakes up. We are getting at least 7-8 hours of sleep at night, which we can't really complain about. We are hoping to get out of the house this weekend with Jack...we will keep you updated.

Tugger
So many have asked how Tugger is hanging in there. He is actually doing quite well. He is always worried about Jack and crying when he can't find him. We love our furbaby but things are definitely different around here. He is used to laying on me and cuddling so that is hard since he can't do that until I fully recover.
Our new "babysitter"!!!!
Adjusting to our new life:)
I think we are adjusting pretty well to life with Jack. He is a great little baby. He feeds everything 3 hours or so and sleeps the rest of the time. He had his first doctors appointment on Friday and he is up from his birth weight:) He is doing great. Grandma is still here and Grandpa came back this weekend for another visit. I even managed to get out of the house with Grandma and Grandpa for a few hours on Saturday and Adam went to the ASU football game. So far we are really enjoying life as new parents.

Update From Jack
Here a quick recap on everything that going on for those of you whom we haven't been able to talk to. Beth had a C-Section on Friday morning. Jack was born at 10:48 and weighed in at 7 pounds 7 ounces. He's so adorable! Tons of hair! Beth is doing well, a little sore, but nothing some meds can't help with. Jack has been having some issues with keeping his blood sugar levels where they should be so he has been staying in the NICU with an IV to help him with his sugar levels. Things seem to be going well, but they just want to monitor him and slowly ween him off of the IV and hopefully he will cooperate. Everyone at the hospital has been so helpful and great to us. Having him in the NICU has allowed us to get at least a little more sleep. It looks like Beth and i will be coming home tomorrow. Hopefully Jack won't be too far behind!!! Thank you everyone for your love and support. Jack can't wait to meet all of you!
